Football Bowl Subdivision

With the kickoff of the 2007 college football season, Divisions I-A and I-AA no longer exist, now being called the Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly I-A) and the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly I-AA). The Football Bowl Subdivision is made up of the 6 BCS conferences (ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10, SEC), the 5 non-BCS conferences (C-USA, MAC, MWC, Sun Belt, WAC) and the Independents. These conferences and schools continue to play in the college football bowl games listed on the 2008 college football bowl schedule page here at Football Bowl.
