GMAC Bowl
The GMAC Bowl features a Mid-American Conference (MAC) representative against a representative from Conference USA. Held in Mobile, Alabama, the GMAC Bowl began in 1999 as the Mobile Alabama Bowl. The GMAC Bowl was originally known as the Mobile Alabama Bowl and has a very strong following from the local Mobile community. Since the game took on the match-up of the MAC vs. Conference USA in 2001, the MAC has gone 5-1 head-to-head with their C-USA rivals. The 2008-2009 GMAC Bowl, to be played on January 6th, 2009, will feature Tulsa vs Ball State as Tulsa makes their second straight appearance in the GMAC Bowl after a 63-7 win in the 2007-2008 GMAC Bowl game.
