Motor City Bowl
The Motor City Bowl features a Mid-American Conference (MAC) representative against a representative from Big Ten. Held in Detroit, Michigan, the Motor City Bowl began in 1997 and is now played at Ford Field. In the ten years prior to the 2007 Motor City Bowl, only once has the Big Ten Conference been able to fill their spot in this game, but it appears that in 2007 the Big Ten will fill their bowl spot. When th Big Ten is unable to fill their bowl spot in the Motor City Bowl, an at-large bowl-eligible school is chosen to replace the Big Ten's spot in the Motor City Bowl. Members of the SEC, Big East, Conference USA, Sun Belt and the Mountain West Conference have all faced the MAC's representative in the past nine years with the MAC having won six of those ten Motor City Bowl games.
