Motor City Bowl
The Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl, formerly the Motor City Bowl, features a Mid-American Conference (MAC) representative against a representative from Big Ten. Held in Detroit, Michigan, the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl began in 1997 and is now played at Ford Field. In the ten years prior to the 2007 Motor City Bowl, only once had the Big Ten Conference been able to fill their spot in this game. When the Big Ten is unable to fill their bowl spot in the Motor City Bowl, an at-large bowl-eligible school is chosen to replace the Big Ten's spot in the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl. Members of the SEC, Big East, Conference USA, Sun Belt and the Mountain West Conference have all faced the MAC's representative in past years with the MAC having won six of those twelve past Motor City Bowl games.
