Poinsettia Bowl
The Poinsettia Bowl features a Mountain West Conference (MWC) representative against an at-large representative. Because of the presence of several naval bases in the San Diego area, the Navy Midshipmen will represent the San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl's at-large bid in 2009 and 2010 if they are bowl-eligible as Navy also appeared in the Poinsettia Bowl in both 2005 & 2007. Held in San Diego, California, the Poinsettia Bowl began in 2005 and is sponsored by as the San Diego Credit Union. The 2008 Poinsettia Bowl featured the #9 Boise State (12-0) falling to #11 TCU (10-2) in San Diego. The Poinsettia Bowl is tied to BYU if they become bowl-eligible in 2012.
