Poinsettia Bowl

The Poinsettia Bowl features a Mountain West Conference (MWC) representative against an at-large representative. Because of the presence of several naval bases in the San Diego area, the Navy Midshipmen will represent the San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl's at-large bid in 2009 and 2010 if they are bowl-eligible as Navy also appeared in the Poinsettia Bowl in both 2005 & 2007. Held in San Diego, California, the Poinsettia Bowl began in 2005 and is sponsored by as the San Diego Credit Union.

The 2008 Poinsettia Bowl features one of the bets non-BCS bowl game matchups as #9 Boise State (12-0) faces #11 TCU (10-2) in San Diego.
