In recent years the Boise State Broncos have become a staple in the College Football Top 25 as an emerging powerhouse program in college football. After joining the Football Bowl Subdivision (Division I-A) in 1996 it took the Broncos just 3 years before they played in their first bowl game, the Humanitarian Bowl based in Boise, Idaho. Boise State has twice played in BCS Bowl Games playing in the Fiesta Bowl in 2007 where they defeated Oklahoma and again in 2010 when they beat TCU.
