Minnesota Golden Gophers Football Bowl History
Despite having one of the oldest college football programs, the Minnesota Golden Gophers have not seen the success or history of bowl games of Big Ten rivals Ohio State or Michigan. The Gophers appeared in the Rose Bowl in 1960 and 1961 before a dry spell that saw Minnesota play in just three bowl games in 38 years. The Golden Gophers have played in the Music City Bowl and the Insight Bowl more than any other bowl games in their program's history.
