Texas Tech Longhorns Football Bowl History
The Texas Tech Red Raiders have always lived in the shadow of the rival Longhorns and to an extent the Aggies in the world of Texas college football, but Texas Tech continues to be a force in the Big 12 Conference. From 1938 through 2001 the Red Raiders went 5-19-1 in 25 bowl games but from 2002-2010 Texas Tech has gone 7-2 in bowl games. Hostorically, the Red Raiders have played in the Sun Bowl 9 times and the Cotton Bowl and Gator Bowl 4 times each.
