Military Bowl

The Military Bowl is an annual college football postseason game that blends the excitement of collegiate competition with a heartfelt tribute to the armed forces. Held in late December, this bowl game features teams from the American Athletic Conference (AAC) and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), showcasing some of the most talented student-athletes in the nation. The Military Bowl was established in 2008 and was initially known as the EagleBank Bowl. It aimed to provide a postseason opportunity for teams while supporting charitable causes, particularly those benefiting the military community. In 2010, the event was rebranded as the Military Bowl, aligning its mission more closely with recognizing and supporting active-duty service members and veterans.

The game has been held at several venues over the years but found its current home at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland, in 2013. This historic stadium, located on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy, offers a fitting backdrop for a game that pays homage to military service.

Since its inception, the Military Bowl has hosted teams from various conferences, with its current tie-ins being the AAC and the ACC. The selection process ensures competitive matchups, often pitting rising programs against established powerhouses. Over the years, the game has featured thrilling contests and standout performances, earning a reputation as a must-watch event during the bowl season.
