Now with more than a quarter century of games played, the 68 Ventures Bowl is an annual postseason Division I FBS bowl game played in Mobile, Alabama. First known as the Mobile Alabama Bowl back in 1999, this bowl game has also formerly been known as the GMAC Bowl (2001-2010) and the GoDaddy Bowl (2011-2015). The game became the Dollar General Bowl in 2016 and held that name through 2019 until Lending Tree took over the title sponsorship. The 68 Ventures Bowl name became official in May of 2023 and has been played at Hancock Whitney Stadium since 2021 after 20+ years at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

For the 8 years in which the GMAC Bowl matched the MAC vs. Conference USA, the MAC went 5-3 head-to-head with their C-USA rivals.

When the Mobile Alabama Bowl first began, it was annually and early bowl game being played as one of the first games of the bowl season in mid-December. In 2006, the game was moved to January, and it became one of the last bowl games played before the BCS national championship game.
