Jacksonville State Gamecocks Football Bowl History

The Jacksonville State Gamecocks played in 8 bowl games before joining Division I FBS football, appearing in the Paper Bowl three straight years from 1948-1950. After joining Division I FBS, coach Rich Rodriguez led the team to a win in the 2023 New Orleans Bowl in the program’s first bowl game at that level. Shortly after winning Conference USA and seeing RichRod leave for West Virginia, the Gamecocks fell short against the Ohio Bobcats, the MAC Champions, by a score of 30-27 in the Staff DNA Cure Bowl.
